Mouse River Enhanced Flood Protection Project (MREFPP) Announces 16th Street Opening

Minot, N.D. – As work winds down for the winter on MI-2 and MI-3 of the Mouse River Enhanced Flood Protection Project (MREFPP), a major traffic change is scheduled for tomorrow.

16th Street SW Fully Reopens

Beginning on Friday, December 13, 16th Street SW will reopen all lanes of traffic. Roadway construction including curb and gutter, utility installation along with temporary earthwork measures have been completed to allow for full use of the roadway through winter.

Access to 7th Ave SW will continue to be closed until additional utility work is complete. We anticipate this work will be completed in 4-6 weeks.

Crews will continue work in the area as long as weather allows.

Safety is always a priority so please be vigilant near the construction zones.
