Urban Flood Control

Communities Throughout the Basin

Three phases of the Mouse River Enhanced Flood Protection Project have been approved, designed and are proceeding through the permitting process. These three phases are located within the City of Minot and are referred to as Napa Valley, Forest Road, and 4th Avenue.

In addition to these three phases, there are also two sub-phases referred to as MI-2A Perkett Ditch and MI-2B Souris Valley Golf Course Temporary Greens and Tees. Design wass completed on both projects and construction began in July 2016. Phase MI-2B was completed in 2016 and Phase MI-2A is expected to be completed in June of 2017.

The Water Treatment Plant project  which will provide flood protection of the water resource that serves the region, is in full construction mode with an anticipated completion in 2017.
