Minot, N.D. – As construction work continues through the winter on the Mouse River Enhanced Flood Protection Project, the safety and integrity of the ice along the Mouse River within the City of Minot has been compromised. Placement of rip rap along the river has weakened the ice and created unsafe conditions adjacent to the construction areas. For the public’s safety, the Souris River Joint Board is asking residents to please refrain from going on the ice in the area between the Highway 83 Bypass W and 4th Ave SW, near Moose Park.
