Minot, N.D. – Work continues in Phases MI-6 and MI-7 of the Mouse River Enhanced Flood Protection Project (MREFPP) and this summer the Roosevelt Park Pool will also be open to the public starting on Friday, June 5th.
While paving work continues in other areas of the park, a temporary traffic route has been established for patrons using Roosevelt Park Pool and the pickleball courts. You will enter off 8th Street SE, into the park entrance, and will follow the paved road on the west side of Roosevelt Pool past the Pool House (pool entrance) and into the parking lot on the north side of the pickleball courts.
This temporary route will be in place from Friday, June 5th through Thursday, June 18th. This route is the way you will both enter and exit the area for parking and access to the pool and pickleball courts. There is two-way traffic on the road in and out so please use slower speeds and look for pedestrians.
These projects are moving forward with good progress, and we are excited for Minot residents to have access to Roosevelt Pool, but keep in mind within these areas there are still active construction zones. There will be a marked pedestrian crossing on the shared roadway, always be prepared to stop for pedestrians using these crossing. Please be alert, obey traffic signs, keep speeds slow, and do not enter any restricted areas.
