Minot, N.D. – The Phase MI-6 Downtown and MI-7 Roosevelt Park and Zoo phases of the Mouse River Enhanced Flood Protection Project (MREFPP) will continue construction activities this week at the entrance to Roosevelt Park and on 8th Street SE.
Pending weather conditions, contractors are planning a temporary closure of the park entrance on Thursday, May 21st, to accommodate paving operations. The paving is anticipated to be completed in one day. Final scheduling remains weather-dependent, with crews continuing to monitor expected precipitation.
Project contractors are coordinating directly with nearby property owners regarding access and construction activity during the closure period.
For this paving project Roosevelt Park will be closed to all users for the day on Thursday, May 21st and will reopen on Friday, May 22nd. Within the next few weeks motorists and park users are encouraged to use caution in the area, follow posted traffic control signage, and anticipate temporary access changes during active construction operations.
