Mouse River Enhanced Flood Protection Project Phase BU-1A Burlington Colton Avenue Bridge Replacement Project Announces Bridge Opening

Burlington, N.D. – Contractors have been working since May on the Phase BU-1A City of Burlington Colton Avenue Bridge Replacement Project as a part of the Mouse River Enhanced Flood Protection Project (MREFPP).

A major milestone on the project will be reached when the Colton Avenue bridge re-opens to vehicle and pedestrian traffic for the first time since June. Project officials anticipate that the bridge will re-open mid-day Monday, November 18.

Work will continue in the area to complete the bridge replacement and Cherry Street roadway realignment. Please continue to be vigilant throughout the construction area.

The entire project is anticipated to be wrapped up spring of 2020.
