Last week the North Dakota Water Education Foundation - NDWEF had the final water tour of the season.

It was a great way to get an up close look at a large portion of the Souris Basin and the completed and current projects impacting our area. Ryan Ackerman, SRJB Administrator, guided the tour giving a lot of interesting information about the MREFPP and how the Souris Basin is managed. Participants heard from Jerry Bents, Houston Engineering, on Phases of the project their team helped design and Kyle Flannery, US Fish and Wildlife Service, gave some details about the dam at Lake Darling and opened the gates for the full tour experience.

Every summer NDWEF gives water tours around the state, for more information on the tours and when you can register for the 2022 tours, visit: https://ndwater.org
